Office consultations

New patient consultations are typically a minimum of an hour, ensuring ample time for either Dr. Ann or Dr. Julie to fully understand the patient’s case, obtain a thorough history, perform physical exam, and design an individualized treatment plan that may include any combination of the following:

  • Adjusting – full spine and extremities
    • Traditional manual adjustments
    • Low force and tool assisted techniques
  • Ordering and interpretation of routine and specialized laboratory studies
  • Applied Kinesiology
  • Cranio-sacral therapy
  • Homeopathy
  • Herbs
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Acupressure
  • Diet evaluation and recommendations
  • Exercise programs
  • Sports medicine – athletic injuries, performance enhancement, gait analysis
  • Detoxification programs – heavy metals, environmental toxins and more

Return visits are usually 30-45 minutes depending on which treatments are required that day.

In our experience, most patients who follow the recommended protocols see a halting of disease progression and many experience a complete remission of symptoms. Both Drs. Barter believe that most patients can attain or regain a vibrant state of health, enjoyment of life, and physical well-being.

Because each patient is unique, requiring a different treatment plan, and because insurance does not cover many of these therapeutics, payment is required at the time of service.

Phone consultations

Live too far away to be able to visit the office in person?

Need a second opinion or expert natural medicine advice that may not be available in your area?

Many people receive diagnoses and prescriptions that they are not certain are appropriate for them. If you would like information about and/or access to a variety of treatment options appropriate to your case, a second opinion is available here.

Phone consults may range from 15-60 minutes in length. Please contact the office for an appointment.

Specialized interpretation of labwork

Dr. Julie is experienced in functional, “fine-tooth-comb” analysis of all the blood and other lab tests that are commonly run. Whereas most conventional physicians are only looking for parameters that fall outside of a very wide “normal” range, she is trained to read results that give hints about vitamin and mineral deficiencies, chronic hidden infections, chemical toxicity, chronic inflammation, food sensitivities, and many other contributing factors to illness that frequently go undiscovered on routine lab review. She will go over these details with you.

Homeopathic consultations for pets with Dr. Julie

Animals often respond magically to homeopathy. Results can usually be seen very quickly when the right remedy is administered.

Dr. Julie is not a vet, and homeopathic consultation is not a substitute for good veterinary care, but she has had very good success treating animals great and small with homeopathy. A few examples are:

  • Behavioral problems of all sorts
  • Arthritis
  • Problems not responding to conventional treatment – infections, diarrhea, digestive problems
  • Complications after surgery or vaccinations
  • Trouble adapting to new situations, family members
