She has published articles in multiple magazines and newspapers, won an International Chiropractic Education Health Talk, published a Spanish-language Paleo cookbook, Paleo Boricua, has appeared on podcasts such as “The Chiropractic Philanthropist” and has contributed on autoimmune cookbooks like, 30 Minute Meals for the Paleo AIP and The Autoimmune Healing Intensive 2018.
She believes that everyone has the ability and the right to be healthy once their bodies have the appropriate tools to heal. She seeks the cause of disease, not just to treat the effects or symptoms. Her goal is to deliver the best care and help her patients to achieve their maximum health potential. Her main focus is on wellness care for kids and adults (and pets, too!). She works as a team with her patients to get to the root cause so their bodies can thrive.
In her free time you can find Dr. Yamila cooking, dancing, hiking with her dog, Bori, and her boyfriend and his dog, Eva. She also loves to hang out with her cats, Cali & Luna when she’s not on the water paddle boarding or kayaking. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English, which helps her not only in practice but on previous mission trips to Jamaica, El Salvador and Haiti.
