Dr. Jennifer Christian graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, OR, the leader in “evidence based practice,” where she dually graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology.
Dr. Christian practices in Longmont, serving the Niwot, Lafayette, Lyons and Denver metropolitan area. Dr. Christian has undergone over 200 hours of training in Applied Kinesiology, functional blood chemistry under Dr. Datis Kharrazian, focused nutritional training, C.A.T.S. (Cranial Adjusting Turner Style), massage therapy training, and is certified in Integrative Dry Needling.
Dr. Christian is a third-generation chiropractor and has “grown up” on chiropractic, so to speak. Her grandfather started their family practice in Taos, New Mexico where her father Dr. Doug Christian, D.C. and uncle, Dr. Keith Christian, D.O.M. continue to practice. Growing up, her father was her go-to for most all her ailments – everything from flus to ankle sprains. She knows the value of holistic and preventative health care and is passionate about providing such care to her patients.
Directly after finishing her schooling, Dr. Christian worked at her family practice in New Mexico. She also worked as a CrossFit instructor for two years in Taos. She made the decision to move to Colorado to find a change of pace from the typical small ski-town life.
Dr. Christian has been trained to see her patient as a whole, not just a condition. She is passionate about helping her patients find resolution to their ailments, whether it be a structural issue, stress management, a nutritional component, or all three. Dr. Christian implements extensive history-taking, manual muscle testing, and chiropractic adjustments including: cranial and extremity, dry needling, scar tissue treatments, functional blood chemistry, nutritional counseling, and corrective exercises to bring your body up to speed and back to vibrant health.
Dr. Christian has completed the 18 hours required for certification by The Running Clinic for: New Trends in the Prevention of Running Injuries. This training course has been delivered more than a hundred times, on 5 continents! It has been developed using the most recent scientific evidence, it questions several current unjustified practices. The techniques learned in this class help Dr. Christian better assess her patients and aids in making recommendations for avoiding future running-related injuries.
In her free time you can find her training in the gym, hiking, paddle boarding or checking out the amazing restaurants around town.
Dr. Christian is truly an integrative chiropractor. She helped me with neck and low back pain using tools I had not previously experienced when I went to see other chiropractors in the past. Next level stuff.
